Laser Scanning

Laser scanning is a fast reliable process for mass data collection and high definition surveying. It offers a true 3d representation of the area being surveyed. It is the collection of millions of individual measurements forming a 3D co-ordinated ‘cloud’. This means that whatever the client’s needs from a survey are, the data is there and it can be manipulated to produce rectified images, 2D and 3D CAD drawings and 3D point clouds either at the time or at a later date.

Our range of laser scanners, allow us to undertake surveys in previously problematic areas. Areas of high detail can be surveyed in a fraction of the time previously taken. We can survey railway infrastructure without the need of line blocks or possessions. These principles are also employed on busy road networks and motorways. The need for ‘confined space entry’ can be eradicated when using our laser scanners. In all of these areas the time taken and associated risks are greatly reduced.

The instruments are also remotely operable so areas with severe time constraints/access problems become much less of a problem.as long as there is line of sight then laser scanning is an option.
