Laser Scanning

Scanner

Laser scanning is a fast reliable process for mass data collection and high definition surveying. It offers a true 3d representation of the area being surveyed. It is the collection of millions of individual measurements forming a 3D co-ordinated ‘cloud’. This means that whatever the client’s needs from a survey are, the data is there and it can be manipulated to produce rectified images, 2D and 3D CAD drawings and 3D point clouds either at the time or at a later.

Laser scanning allows surveys to be undertaken in previously problematic areas be this congested areas, areas with access restrictions/problems or even just areas of high detail that would previously have taken much longer to acquire information. The instruments are also remotely operable so areas with severe time constraints/access problems become much less of a problem.as long as there is line of sight then laser scanning is an option.

We have used this technology to survey anything from single elevations through to complete 3D models of Manor Houses.
